Marion Branch was one of the original branches of the Cake Decorators Association of South Australia (CDASA). The Association was formed in 1981 to foster and improve the art of cake decoration and to encourage the interchange of ideas and skills. Due to an increase in membership in 1988, it was decided to form various branches at different locations in Adelaide. This enabled members to choose to attend Branch meetings at a location close to where they reside. Look in on the Branch for information about current and upcoming events, registration forms and work kit requirements for branch events, as well as a sample of past meetings and workshops.
The Marion Branch meets on the second Wednesday of each month, at St Bernadette's School Parish Hall. The meeting entry fee is only $3.00 and visitors are most welcome. After a short time spent on the Branch General Business, an informal supper is enjoyed by all. We are then entertained by fellow members, or guests from South Australia or interstate, who willingly share their knowledge, experience and expertise. This can take the form of demonstrations, workshops, competitions, or discussions, and are greatly enjoyed by all that attend. You do not have to be an experienced cake decorator to benefit from our Association. Anyone with an interest in ‘Sugar Art’ is welcome to attend. We have members with all levels of experience and they all enjoy our meetings. Come and join us soon – we are sure you will not be disappointed! Meetings
